Udruga Better Me is happy to announce its involvement in the Youth Exchange “Think it UP – Young Leaders in Democracy” that will take place in Horezu (Romania) from July 25th to August 3rd, 2024. We are going to select a Group Leader and 6 participants, Croatian citizens or legal resident in Croatia.
Aims of the project.
“Think it UP – Young Leaders in Democracy is a youth exchange program that brings together participants from both EU countries and Program Countries. Its primary objective is to equip young individuals from diverse European communities with the essential skills and competencies related to participation, democracy, European citizenship, and critical thinking.
The objectives of the project are the follows:
- Enhance competences related to democracy, citizenship and critical thinking.
- Exploring the intercultural dimension of this youth exchange by joining exponents many cultures, languages and customs.
- Developing communication skills in a foreign language as means of personal and professional development, the working project being English.
Selection Criterias:
For Group Leaders:
- over 18, no maximum limit;
- Good english skills;
- Responsible person that understands the importance of leading a group and working in international context.
For participants:
- age 18- 30;
- The capacity to communicate in English;
- Motivation to participate and to share the results with other youngsters.
The project is welcoming young people, regardless of their status, economic and social conditions.
Venue of the Activities.
The mobility will be held in Horezu, Valcea County – situated at 40 km from Ramnicu Valcea and 200 km from Bucharest. It is well known for it UNESCO ceramics workshops and its very old Monastery. Our stay will be in Hotel Horezu.
The accommodation will be made in twin rooms separated by genders with private bathrooms. The hotel will provide towels and basic toiletry. The meals will be served in the hotel’s restaurant. There will be free wifi service inside the building.
Travel reimbursement.
The travel reimbursement is of €275 euro. The eligible tickets are:
- Bus tickets;
- Train tickets in 2nd class;
- Flights in economy class or low cost (es. Wizzair,Ryanair, EasyJet and so on).
A bus from Bucharest, organised by Youth on the Move, will bring you to the the destination.
