Udruga Better Me is happy to announce its involvement in the Training Course “YOUTH GOAL: READY, STEADY, GO!” that will take place in Sintra (Portugal) from June 25th to July 3rd, 2024. We are going to select 3 participants, Croatian citizens or legal resident in Croatia.
Associação Par – Respostas Sociais is our trusted Portuguese partner and the coordinator of the project.
Aims of the project.
The training helps youth workers learn new skills like storytelling and game-based learning to engage young people in democratic participation. It improves practices in youth organizations and fosters networking among youth workers for mutual benefit.
Specific Objectives:
- Promote critical reflection among youth workers on the EU Youth Strategy
- and the Youth Goals;
- Empower youth workers to develop skills for youth participation in
- democratic life through innovative methodologies (such as storytelling or
- game-based learning);
- Enhance networking within the youth sector, particularly among
- technicians and youth organizations.
Selection Criteria
- Professionals involved in the youth sector, either directly (working with young people) or indirectly (developing projects, interventions, processes, and tools that impact the work carried out with young people);
- Aged 18 or older, with no maximum age limit;
- Willing to be an active participant for the entire duration of the course;
- Motivated, open-minded, and willing to share and reflect on their experiences
The project is welcoming motivated participants, regardless of their status, social and economic conditions.
Venue of the Activities.
The training will be held at Campo de Férias de Janas in Sintra, Portugal, a rural location with dormitory accommodation. Activities will mainly take place in a dedicated training room on-site. Meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two coffee breaks daily, will be provided by skilled young cooks. Accommodation and meals are covered by the Erasmus+ program, so participation in the daily training program ensures they’re free of charge for attendees.
Travel reimbursement.
The travel reimbursement is up to €360 euro. The eligible tickets are:
- Bus tickets;
- Train tickets in 2nd class;
- Flights in economy class or low cost (es. Wizzair,Ryanair, EasyJet and so on).
A bus from Lisbon airport to Sintra, organised by our Portuguese Associação Par – Respostas Sociais, will bring you to the the destination.
