Learn Non-Formally – Training Course in Râmnicu Vâlcea (Romania)

Project Purpose.
This training course aims to inform participants about non-formal education methods and test specific approaches tailored to the unique profiles of each participating organization. By exploring various educational strategies, the project seeks to enhance the effectiveness and impact of youth work across different contexts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide comprehensive information on the distinctions and interconnections between formal, informal, and non-formal education.
  • Share examples of best practices in youth work, showcasing successful non-formal education initiatives.
  • Equip participants with the skills necessary to facilitate and implement non-formal education methods within their own organizations.

Through interactive sessions, practical workshops, and collaborative activities, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to foster engaging and impactful youth programs, contributing to their personal and professional development in the field of non-formal education.

Selection Criteria.

  • Professionals involved in the youth sector, either directly (working with young people) or indirectly (developing projects, interventions, processes, and tools that impact the work carried out with young people);
  • Aged 18 or older, with no maximum age limit;
  • Willing to be an active participant for the entire duration of the course;
  • Motivated, open-minded, and willing to share and reflect on their experiences.

The project is welcoming motivated participants, regardless of their status, social and economic conditions.

Venue of the Activities.

Participants will be hosted at Pensiunea Bulevard, a 3 star hotel that is located 20min away from the city center by walk, and is accesibile by foot and/or car.The exact location is B-dul. Tudor Vladimirescu 43, Râmnicu Vâlcea.The participants will be accomodated in rooms of 2.

Activities will mainly take place in a dedicated training room on-site. Meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two coffee breaks daily, will be provided by skilled young cooks. Accommodation and meals are covered by the Erasmus+ program, so participation in the daily training program ensures they’re free of charge for attendees.

Travel reimbursement.

The travel reimbursement is up to €275 euro or €320 in Green Travel (just bus, train and other means of transportation except flights).

The eligible tickets are:

  • Bus tickets;
  • Train tickets in 2nd class;
  • Flights in economy class or low cost (es. Wizzair,Ryanair, EasyJet and so on).

In order to be selected for this project, there are two steps to carry on:

  1. Write an email to betterme.croatia@gmail.com writing a short motivation letter;
  2. Having a meeting in presence or online with out staff;
  3. Filling up an application form provided by the Romanian Organisation.
